This delicious pasta recipe is a true celebration of Italian herbs. Simple, yet full of bold flavors it's an easy go-to meal that's ready in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 400g (14 oz) pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)

  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Life Italian Spice Blend

  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon Fresh Life Hot Chili Flakes (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instruictions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.

  2. Prepare the Herb Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the Fresh Life Italian Spice Blend and Fresh Life Hot Chili Flakes (if using).

  3. Combine Pasta & Sauce

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the herb-infused oil. If the pasta seems too dry, add a few tablespoons of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Serve

Transfer to serving plates and top with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Flavor Profile

This dish showcases the bright, fresh flavors of basil and oregano, while the rosemary and thyme add an earthy depth. The garlic and onion create a rich, savory undertone, making each bite satisfying and aromatic. The olive oil perfectly binds the herbs to the pasta, ensuring every forkful is packed with flavor.
